Description
Rimoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation, available in injectable form.
Indications
- Postoperative pain
- Pain from injuries and burns
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatic conditions
- Vascular origin spasmodic pain
Administration
Administered intramuscularly or intravenously. Typically, adults receive 1–1.5 ml once per day. Repeat dose may be given after 24 hours, only by physician’s advice.
Contraindications
- Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency
- Active peptic ulcer disease
- Severe heart failure
- Allergy to NSAIDs or bronchial asthma
- Third trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding
Precautions
Prolonged use may irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa. Administer with sufficient fluid to reduce this risk.
Storage Conditions
Store at 5°C to 25°C in a dry, light-protected place out of children's reach. Shelf life: 3 years.
